Swedish is a Germanic cousin of English, and this test begins with its easiest words. Over thirty questions you choose each meaning or say you do not know, then see a CEFR level and your estimated Swedish vocabulary.
Guessing makes the result less accurate, not better — "I don't know" is a perfectly good answer. The test stops early once the words get clearly past you.
| Level | What it means |
|---|---|
| A1 | Greetings, numbers, the everyday nouns |
| A2 | Shopping, directions, routine and family |
| B1 | Travel, work and opinions on familiar topics |
| B2 | Abstract topics, the news, most films |
| C1 | Nuance, idiom, professional vocabulary |
| C2 | Rare and literary words |
Watch Your Language groups its Swedish packs by the same CEFR levels as this test. Start at the band you found, and the app shows those words on your iPhone Lock Screen and Apple Watch face, bringing back the ones you keep forgetting.
